Get Serpelo up and running on your WordPress site in under 5 minutes.
Installation
Method 1: WordPress Admin Upload
Download the Plugin
Download serpelo-pro.zip from your WebTown account or the purchase confirmation email.
Upload via WordPress
Go to Plugins β Add New β Upload Plugin. Choose the ZIP file and click Install Now.
Activate
Click Activate Plugin. Serpelo will automatically set up everything it needs and configure default settings.
Method 2: FTP / File Manager
Extract the ZIP
Unzip serpelo-pro.zip on your computer. You'll get a serpelo-pro folder.
Upload to wp-content/plugins/
Connect via FTP or your host's File Manager. Upload the serpelo-pro folder to /wp-content/plugins/.
Activate in WordPress
Go to Plugins in your WordPress admin. Find "Serpelo" and click Activate.
What Happens on Activation
When you first activate Serpelo, it automatically handles the following setup:

| Background Monitoring | Schedules automated tasks: daily site health audit, weekly email reports, hourly uptime checks, keyword rank tracking, and content freshness monitoring. |
| License Status | Sets your tier to Free until you activate a Pro or Elite license key. |
| SEO URLs | Sets up your XML sitemap and AMP URLs to work automatically. |
License Activation
Navigate to the License Page
Go to Serpelo β License in your WordPress admin sidebar.
Enter Your License Key
Paste your license key in the input field. License keys follow these formats:
- Pro:
SERPELO-PRO-XXXX-XXXX-XXXX - Elite:
SERPELO-SP-XXXX-XXXX-XXXX
Click Activate
The plugin validates your key against the Serpelo license server. On success, your tier is upgraded and your AI token balance is synced.
Setup Wizard
After activation, the Setup Wizard walks you through essential configuration. It appears automatically on first install. For a detailed walkthrough of every step, see the dedicated Setup Wizard guide.

Running Your First Audit
After setup, visit the Dashboard to see your overall SEO health score and identify quick wins.
Go to Dashboard
Navigate to Serpelo β Dashboard. You'll see the main dashboard with gradient stat cards, SEO score ring, and quick action buttons.
Run Site Health Audit
Click the Run Health Audit button. The audit checks on-page factors, schema coverage, sitemap status, image optimization, broken links, and more.
Review Issues & Fix
The audit surfaces issues ranked by severity. Use the Quick Fix buttons or navigate to the relevant feature page for detailed management.
Migration from Other SEO Plugins
Serpelo includes a built-in importer that detects and migrates data from popular SEO plugins.
Import Process
Navigate to Import
Go to Serpelo β Settings β Import SEO Data.
Select Source Plugin
The importer auto-detects installed SEO plugins. Select the one you want to migrate from.
Preview & Import
Click Preview Import to see what data will be imported. Review the summary, then click Import Data to begin the migration.
Rollback (if needed)
If anything goes wrong, use the Rollback button to undo the import and restore your previous data.
