Setup Wizard
Serpelo's guided setup wizard walks you through essential configuration in just a few minutes, so your site is SEO-ready from day one.
Launching the Wizard
The Setup Wizard appears automatically the first time you activate Serpelo. If you skip it or want to re-run it later, you can access it anytime from the Dashboard.
Automatic Launch
After activating Serpelo, the wizard opens automatically. Follow each step to configure your site's baseline SEO settings.
Manual Launch
Navigate to Serpelo β Dashboard and click the Run Setup Wizard button, or go to Serpelo β Settings and look for the "Re-run Setup Wizard" option.
Step 1: Basic SEO Settings
Define the foundational SEO settings for your site, including how titles appear in search results.

Step 2: Features
Choose which SEO modules to enable. You can toggle any feature on or off β all are enabled by default for the best out-of-the-box experience.

Step 3: Organization / Person
Tell search engines who runs your website. This information is used for the site-wide schema markup that appears on your homepage.

| Type | Choose Organization (for businesses, brands, companies) or Person (for personal blogs, portfolios). |
| Name | Your organization or personal name as you want it to appear in search knowledge panels. |
| Logo | Upload your logo. Google uses this for the Knowledge Graph. Recommended: square image, at least 112Γ112px. |
| URL | Your official website URL (typically your homepage). |
Step 4: Image Optimization
Configure how Serpelo handles your images. These settings apply when you upload new images and during bulk optimization.

Step 5: Monitoring & Reports
Set up automated SEO monitoring so Serpelo keeps an eye on your site's health even when you're not logged in.

Switching from another SEO plugin? Serpelo can automatically import your existing SEO data so you don't lose any of your work.

How to Import
Go to Settings β Import SEO Data
Navigate to Serpelo β Settings β Import SEO Data. Serpelo automatically detects any compatible SEO plugins installed on your site.
Select the Source Plugin
Choose which plugin you want to import from. You'll see a summary of what data will be migrated.
Preview & Import
Click Preview Import to review what will be imported. When satisfied, click Import Data to begin the migration.
Verify & Deactivate Old Plugin
After importing, spot-check a few pages to confirm the data migrated correctly. Then deactivate (but keep installed) your old SEO plugin as a safety net.
Re-running the Wizard
Need to change your baseline settings? You can re-run the Setup Wizard at any time:
From the Dashboard
Go to Serpelo β Dashboard and click the Run Setup Wizard button in the quick actions area.
From Settings
Go to Serpelo β Settings β General and click Re-run Setup Wizard at the bottom of the page.
